Realizing the importance of education, the Leadership Cocke County Class of 2008 has made a commitment to establish a scholarship entitled the "Leadership Scholarship".  The scholarship is unique in that it is for non-traditional students, those that are in the work force and wish to further their education but due to various circumstances, were unable to attend a college, university or technical school after completing high school.
The scholarship will be funded through a variety of fund raising events with the first being the chili cook-off. 
The Cocke County Education Foundation will govern the scholarship.

Scholarships Awarded
In June 2009, the graduates of the LCC Class of 2008 proudly presented James Dixon and Susan Bell each with a $1,000.00 scholarship.
Susan is a graduate student at Carson Newman College
James is a undergraduate at Walters State Community College
